Homestead Green Dubbo

Lee Dillon believed the opportunity to own an generous sized block of land in the leafy outskirts of Dubbo would be a tempting prospect for homeowners in NSW’s Central West in 2006. Homestead Green was a development comprising 41 blocks of around 1 acre surrounded by a traditional post & rail fence, while the planting of 3000 trees helped complete the picture-perfect setting. Homestead Green allowed even younger couples to create a large family home with spacious entertaining areas, a multi-car garage, perhaps a pool or even a tennis court.

An innovative campaign brought the art of real estate marketing into new territory. Never one to do things by halves, Lee Dillon kicked off the publicity campaign with a gala event at the Central Plains Zoo attended by media representatives  and leading dignitaries. During the event, actors performed wearing tennis & poolside attire to paint a vivid picture of the idyllic lifestyle to come, while a local artist painted an original oil on canvas. The painting was then auctioned off later that evening, raising  much needed funds for the Dubbo Base Hospital and elevating  awareness of the development through the extensive publicity it generated in mass media.

While certain competitive land releases at the time struggled to gain traction, the blocks of land at Homestead Green sold strongly. Today, Homestead Green is a leafy, parkland environment punctuated with spacious family homes and spectacular landscaping, which have contributed to realising Lee Dillon’s bold vision barely a decade ago.
